29 Oct The Bay Means Business
Tampa Bay’s three ports – Tampa Bay, Manatee and St. Petersburg — are vital to the region’s economy. Ships from around the world ply the bay’s manmade nautical highways, carrying petroleum products, fertilizer, citrus and tropical fruits, cruise passengers, and cargo shipped in containers like these captured by photographer Andy Fobes. Port Tampa Bay contributes more than $15 billion in economic impact and supports more than 80,000 jobs.
Did you know? Nearly one-third of all cargo coming in and out of Florida passes through Port Tampa Bay.
