Restoring the Shoreline of Safety Harbor

What was previously a forest of invasive Brazilian pepper along Upper Tampa Bay was restored with salt marsh grasses, mangroves, sea grapes and other native coastal plants thanks to funding from the Tampa Bay Environmental Restoration Fund and nearly 200 volunteers from Tampa Bay Estuary Program, Tampa Bay Watch and the City of Safety Harbor. A scenic boardwalk will offer visitors a closeup encounter with wildlife and nature! Photo by Marcia Biggs
